Audi has unveiled the official details of the all-new RS 6 sports sedan which is powered by a twin-turbo V10 engine and equipped with quattro permanent all-wheel drive offering a supercar-like superior performance and yet is driven as an everyday business vehicle.

The Audi RS 6 sedan is powered by a 5.0-liter V10 engine equipped with FSI direct fuel injection, dry-sump lubrication and two turbochargers and with up to 1.6 bar of pressure boost, the RS 6 produces peak power of 580 hp (426 kW) between 6,250 rpm to 6,700 rpm and a maximum torque of 650 Nm (479.42 lb-ft) at 1,500 rpm to 6,250 rpm.

The engine is mated to the six-speed tiptronic where the reaction time has been reduced to one tenth of a second and also the driver could manually change the gears either using the shift lever or the paddles on the steering wheel.

The suspension system for the RS 6 consists of four lightweight aluminum control arms per wheel at the front axle. The speed-dependent servotronic power steering were retuned and the steering gear ratio is a direct 12.5:1 while the suspension kinematics have also been modified.

The Audi RS 6 is also equipped with three selectable damper settings (sport, dynamic and comfort) Dynamic Ride Control DRC, an exclusive damping technology which reduces pitch and roll using purely mechanical means and also the electronic stabilization system ESP

The car stands on 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 255/40 tires and fitted with black six-piston fixed aluminum callipers, 390 mm brake discs at the front and single-piston floating brake callipers, 365 mm brake discs at the rear. Optional are the 20-inch wheels in order to allow the use of a ceramic brake system.

At the exterior, the Audi RS 6 sedan features single frame grille, air intakes, xenon plus headlights, adaptive light and RS 6-specific LED daytime running lights, flared fenders, deep side skirts, rear diffuser, spoiler integrated into the trunk lid and two large oval exhaust pipes.
