2009 Toyota Avensis Update

Toyota has released more images of the third generation Avensis which will make its official debut at the 2008 Paris International Motor Show in October. Among the images are the interior and the station wagon (Tourer) model.
The 2009 Toyota Avensis was designed, engineered and built at the ED2, Toyota’s design studio in France.
According to some reports on the internet, the new Avensis will be offered in three petrol engine versions, i.e. 132 hp 1.6-liter, 147 hp 1.8-liter and 152 hp 2.0-liter engines. Unchanged are the diesel versions, the 126 hp 2.0-liter D-4D and the 2.2-liter D-4D which are available with 156 hp and 177 hp output.
The Avensis will feature enhanced safety specifications such as the Steering-assist Vehicle Stability Control (VSC+), Adaptive Front Light System (AFS) and Pre-Cash Safety System (PCS).
