General Motors Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rick Wagoner has announced that the company will invest more than $500 million in the US to build the new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, an all-new global compact car. The Cruze will be built at GM’s Lordstown, Ohio plant.

The Chevrolet Cruze will be officially unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show in October and will be available in two petrol and one diesel engine variants.
